Matcha Party!

Here’s me enjoying a cup of traditional matcha tea and dessert in a tiny shop – handmade by the oldest, cutest man alive.  There is a true art to making the perfect cup – the water must be boiled at a specific temperature and vigorously mixed with a bamboo whisk.  I had a sweet rice ball (which isn’t my fav Japanese delight as it is essentially chewy dough) that was was oh so dainty.  It came with hot cherry blossom tea… which was surprisingly salty!
